The 2016 Irish Scrabble Open Tournament took place on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th May in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin.

We had a great weekend with some new faces (always very welcome!) and some nail-biting games. We missed our usual evening activities (meal, card playing, drinks and craic) because Bruce Springsteen was playing in Dublin that weekend – this meant that accommodation coming up to the event was like gold dust, and nobody was staying in the hotel. Ah well – next time!
